MOBIUS FLOWER EARRINGS
Sterling Silver Chain Maille with White Freshwater Pearls
There is an old adage “Pearls mean tears”, but to me pearls mean glamour and sophistication.
These beautiful earrings are crafted from Sterling Silver jump rings and Freshwater Cultured Pearls. The pearls are white, but the photograph does not show this very well.
The jump rings are approximately 7mm and the pearls are approximately 5mm round. The drop is approximately 1″/2.5cm from the top of the silver ball on the ear wire to the end of the jump rings.
The Sterling Silver ear wires are Shepherd’s hooks.
These earrings are not hallmarked as they weigh under 7.78g.

White pearls are a symbol of purity, which is why brides traditionally wear them on their wedding day.
The old saying “Pearls mean tears” appears to have no foundation and it is unclear where and how it originated. However, the Greeks believed that pearls were the tears of the gods. Another reference to pearls and tears is that Adam and Eve supposedly wept when they were cast out of the Garden of Eden and their tears created a pool of pearls.
White pearls are symbolic of faith, a pure heart, innocence and a pure mind. These pearls are especially attractive to individuals with a water zodiac sign.
