GRADUATED STARDUST EARRINGS
Sterling Silver Chain Maille with Stardust balls
These beautifully understated earrings are a variation on the popular Byzantine weave, but using different sizes of rings. A sparkle ball has also been added to give a little lift to an otherwise simple earring. It transforms the look without being too overpowering.
They are a medium drop length and look amazing in the ear. Wear your hair up to show them off, or down to reveal a subtle sparkle as you move.
The earrings measure approximately 1″/2.5cm in length from just under the ball of the ear wire to the bottom of the Stardust bead, and the largest rings are 7mm in diameter.
The Sterling Silver ear wires are Shepherd’s hooks.
They are not hallmarked as they weigh less than 7.78g.

How do they get the stardust effect? I hear you asking. Well let me tell you…
It is the way the silver ball is finished. Just as you can have a satin finish, a mirror finish or a hammered finish, you can have a stardust finish. However, whereas I can produce all the other finishes myself, the stardust finish is a little more technical. The surface of the silver is etched with a laser, which roughens the surface and it is this rough texture which catches the light and gives the ball its sparkle.
